The Story of A Man Who Wrote Awful Movie Tag Lines
We analysed 104,925 movie tag lines to uncover the biggest clichés. We took the most popular first words (the, a, it’s), then looked for the most common three words after these (the story, the most, the greatest, etc.), and then the three most common words after these initial two.
If you’re wondering what the most clichéd tag line of all time is, using this method, it’s shared between quite a few, but a main contender is: “The story of a man who had to live twelve years in one day with four women!” (Mister Buddwing‘s alternative tag line).
